She was built in 1970 at the shipyard Seafarer in the U.S. and was designed to be a fast high-class round the world sailing yacht. She was designed by Sparkman & Stephens, who is known for designing elegant craft which are seaworthy and suitable for cruising. She is now in good condition and equipped with modern technology.
